Meet Buckeye’s Professional Dog Trainer in Columbus
Bryan Hazelbaker
Owner & Lead Trainer
Bryan Hazelbaker is a Columbus-based professional dog trainer with over 7 years of hands-on experience helping dogs and their owners achieve real, lasting results. Before entering the dog training world, Bryan built his career as a local chef—bringing the same discipline, consistency, and attention to detail into every training program he now delivers.
Bryan has always had dogs in his life, but his path into training became personal after adopting a German Shepherd who needed more guidance than he initially knew how to provide. That experience sparked a deep commitment to understanding canine behavior and helping other owners navigate similar challenges.
He received his formal education through Catch Canine Trainers Academy and went on to complete the Canine Trade Group’s Professional Dog Trainer Course—an intensive 320-hour program designed to prepare trainers to work with all types of dogs and behavior issues. His training includes advanced study in canine learning theory, as well as extensive hands-on experience addressing complex challenges such as reactivity, aggression, and anxiety.
Today, Bryan combines his knowledge, experience, and passion to help dogs across the Columbus area build better behavior, stronger communication, and more reliable obedience—both at home and in the real world.
We do NOT provide board and trains, group classes, or therapy dog training.
